The World Of Scents

When we were hard at work creating our signature scents for our Beard Oils, I had found my true calling. Deep down if I can be in a lab all day mixing different essential oils to create a new scent; with highs, lows and mid tones... I'd be one hairy happy guy.

When Hairy Face started out we asked ourselves one question. What do men want to smell like? For years I used whatever product that was in my gentlemen's room. This means what ever product my wife had in there. Most of these products are marketed towards women. I never said to myself, "Hey Self, Do you really wanna smell like pomegranates and honeydew. Truthfully I don't even know if those two smells work in combination but for the sake of this article lets say they do. Now don't get me wrong, those are fantastic smells and on my wife they're amazing. I just don't want to have the scent on my hair or skin anymore. Not that I'm the manliest of men or such a tough guy that i can't fathom smelling pretty. I just wanted a smell that was more designed for a man. Less fruity and flowery more woodsy and earthy.

When we sat down with the Hairy Face Crew and asked ourselves what men want to smell like we also asked what women want men to smell like and what men want men to smell like. We did a lot of testing and found that its really a personal thing...go figure. Some guys want the fruit and flowers, some guys want the earthy and woodsy, some guys like something different all together. So in the lab, we ended up creating 7 different beard blends. Something for everyone!

Now we are expanding into a full line of personal care products; Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Lotion, Beard Wash, Face Scrub, Pre Shave Oil and Pomade. So here we go again! Hair nets and lab coats, beard nets and gloves. Like I said before this is my favorite part.
